Atlassian Guard
In the summer of 2024, I served as the lead motion designer for the Atlassian Guard video launch for Atlassian’s Team ‘24. Atlassian Guard (formerly known as “Access”) served as both a new security offering and rebrand for Atlassian Access customers, aiming to increase the SMB (small and medium sized business) Attach rate above 33.2% to 40.3% by the end of FY24. This goal was exceeded, having reached an attach rate of 43%.
As lead motion designer, I was deeply involved with the script making, storyboarding, design, and animation processes. The product itself was still undergoing changes during the design and animation process, meaning that we had to be prepared to make changes along the way. Bearing that in mind, we opted for a more abstracted approach to the product UI to better accommodate any changes that were made in the product itself. Not only did this make it easier to make changes, it also allowed for an already content heavy video to be easier for viewers to digest.
During the production process I was supported by two motion designers (Melli Lawrence and George Harbeson), two designers (Sarita Hangtagool and Brandon Jacobs), a copywriter (Lauren Holloway), two producers (Lena Brooks and Melinda Michaud), and an art director (Derick Carss).
